We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer for our Server Hardware Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience designing, procuring and operating commodity/x86 server hardware at large scale. The candidate is an individual who has a relentless passion for frugality and out-of-the-box engineering. The position involves industry research and collaboration, green-field design of new hardware, analysis of existing vendor products and producing frugal, performant server designs for all Amazon.com businesses.

Responsibilities

• Deliver innovative, frugal and stable server designs to support Amazons business requirements
• Define and implement a crisp hardware test and deployment cycle
• Represent Amazon.com to the hardware community
• Measure and maintain product quality levels throughout the server product lifecycle
• Research, forecast and present industry trends to Amazons engineering community
