The Joomla Project announces Joomla 1.5.17 after a few days later from Joomla 1.5.16. This is a priority release to correct two issues in version 1.5.16. Although there are no security issues fixed in this release, we consider it a security release because a security-related bug has been fixed and because many sites may be upgraded directly from 1.5.15 to 1.5.17.

Joomla! Project announces the immediate availability of Joomla 1.5.16 . This Joomla! version contains fix for bugs and 2 moderate level security issues . You can find the all version changes on this url .

It's allways better to use the latest version of Joomla . We suggest all our users to update their Joomla! versions.

Security

Four security issues were fixed in this release:

• Moderate Priority - Core - Negative Values for Limit and Offset
  
• Low Priority - Core - Installer Migration Script.
• Moderate Priority - Core - Sessation Fixation.
• Low Priority - Core - Password Reset Tokens.

I like reading about 'Search Engine Optimization' (SEO) and trying the SEO tactics on some of my web sites .

After reading and trying many methods for SEO, I understand 2 things from Search Engine Optimization

1. Links
2. The other factors

75% of the SEO is consist of Links and 25% of the SEO becomes (These are just my personal opinions for the SEO. Different people can have different opinions about the rates)

What is link (or hyperlink)?
I'm not going to give comples description. You can consider that links like points. (If you need a  better description for 'What the link is' , You can check wikipedia) . Every link to your web site means a point to your web site. The web sites which has more points will beat the other web sites on search engines.

One of the important issue for the links is that you need to find the links from the web sites which has the similar content to yours. For example, If you have a web site about hosting and you have links from dating web site, You will not be able to make a greadt benefit from that link. If you have a hosting web site and you have links from hosting web site, This link is called high-quality link. As you can guess high-quality links are better than the first example (hosting - dating) .
