Joomla! has 2 folder location in your configuration. One of them is tmp folder and the other is logs folder. You can view the the default setting for the tmp folder on the screenshot. The screenshot is showing what currently you have. It's not a good setting

What do these folders do for you?

• Joomla! temporary folder (tmp folder) - The extensions that you install is firstly uploaded and extracted to this folder
• Joomla! log folder (logs folder): Joomla! related activity is recorded thus an attacker can find what vulnerabilities may reside within your site.
