Joomla! has an 'Error Reporting' paramerer configuration parameter under 'Server'Joomla! 1.5 Error Reporting External link . This setting controls how you are going to print the php errors or are you going to print any error message to the screen?

Using an Error Reporting anything different from NONE will slow down your website and give hackers a security hole that they can use to peer into your server settings and PHP environment. Turn it off (NONE) unless you are debugging at the moment. Then turn it off!

Now that you have turned off Error Reporting you won't see any warnings or errors on your site. This is a good thing because your server can run more efficiently, users won't see any warnings or errors you may have missed , and hackers cannot look at your server or PHP settings and cannot force errors to see how else they might be able to compromise your system.

Only use Error Reporting while testing or debugging. Otherwise keep it turned off.

What's your Error Reporting?
