We are proud to announce that Jobs ! 1.4 BETA 2 is published for the licensed users.

As you can remember from the 10 days before, We have published the BETA 1

This version is contains fix for the reported bugs of BETA 1 and It also contains some new intresting features

Changes & New Features

Custom Field Manager is extended Job Forms

From starting this version, Job Forms will be controlled by the custom field manager. You will be able to add/edit/delete/make searchable the job fields with using the custom field manager

Job Search Form is more capable than before

We suggest you to see the screenshot to understand what we mean. (Do not be afraid. Screenshot shows a part of new job search form. You will be able to add more fields or remove the existing search fields)

An Inroduce to Zip Radius Search

Jobs! 1.4 will be able to do very basic zip radius search.

When you have installed the Jobs! 1.4 Beta 2, You will notice that City and State fields are replaced with location fields on home page search form and category pages search forms.

Jobs! will expect you to write the zip codes of the locations while you are creating the locations. When somebody writes zip code , Jobs! will match jobs for this zip codes

Locations in Job Forms

Jobs! 1.3.x series were using City & State text fields to deal with the locations. Honestly, It was not a good way to do. Jobs! 1.4.x series will allow you to have locations in drop down list (See Jobs! Configuration>List Locations part from the admin panel)

A New Field Type in Custom Field Manager

Jobs! will support string field type as a new field type in its custom field manager. It's an exact field. It's a text message that you cen insert to your forms

New Buttons in Jobs! Admin Panel

Jobs! 1.4.x+ series will have some new button in admin panel . See the screenshot

What are we waiting to publish the Jobs! 1.4 stable?

There are 2 issues which are standing between us and stable version

1. Migration Issues: Some fields has become useless in the database tables jobs table. (For example, Jobs! 1.4 will use location field in drop down list but Jobs! 1.3 series were using City & State fields to deal the locations. We will need a tool to migrate your existing City & State fields to Location field in drop down)
2. Testing Issue: We will need to test the Jobs! 1.4 Beta 2 a few more days before we declare the stable version. You can speed up this process with testing the Jobs! 1.4 BETA 2 and reporting the bugs you have found on this forum thread . If any bug is not discovered/reported , We will declare this as stable version with migration tools
   

How are you get this version?

When you have download a new package with your Download ID, You will see "Jobs! 1.4" folder on package root you have downloaded. You will see a sub-folder called "payment" under "Jobs! 1.4" folder. You must use payment plugins from that folder

Important Note

This is a BETA version. It's for testing. We do not suggest you to use it on a live web site
