Editor Requiments is removed
Jobs! was having a nasty feature. It was using the default WYSIWYG editor TinyMCE. It was not working with the other WYSIWYG like JCE . This nasty criteria is removed. Jobs! 1.4 versions will support all WYSIWYG editors (or No Editor option)Job Templates
If you are posting too many jobs in a limited time with similar text (Similar Job Title, Description, Locations etc). That means you are making copy-paste for creating the same job. Job Templates can help you. Create a job template . Jobs! will allow you to fill the job posting form while you are posting job. When you activate it from your configuration, It will work as a

Custom Field Manager becomes more powerful
As you know, Jobs! has its own 'Custom Field Manager'. We have added 2 new parameters & 1 New Field Type to our 'Custom Field manager'Initial Value Assignment (or Pre-filled Value): You will be able define pre-filled value for all fields
Field Search Group: This is the parameter which makes us fear. Because, If you have configurated this parameter , It will make your Jobs! very powerful but if you configure this wrong, It will take down field search (It will bring you unrelated results)
I'm going to exlain this parameter with an example . Every resume has a classic fields like* Language 1 that job seeker can talk
* Language 2 that job seeker can talk
* Language 3 that job seeker can talk
* Language 4 that job seeker can talk
etc
The question is that what happens when you make 'Language 1' searchable from the custom field manager. A classic custom field manager will only search 'Language 1'. It will not search the other language fields (Language 2,Language 3,Language 4) but the correct action must be searching all language fields
That's what 'Field Search Group' parameter does. It will expect you to group the fields while you are creating or editing.
String Field Type : This field type adds messages to your forms. It's not an exact field. Nobody can enter value to this field. It can be used display messages inside your forms. You can think this field type as tooltips but your users does not need to play with the mouse to see this message
Localication Issues
Jobs! was having some un-translated parts like admin panel toolbar buttons and images title and alt tags (like <img src="/path/to/files" alt="THIS STRING WAS ENGLISH" />). Locations issues are fixed. A new language file is added to the 'languages' like YOUR_LANGUAGE_tool.php . This will control the admin toolbar stringsJob Forms are being controlled by the Custom Field Manager
This is the biggest change of this version. Job Forms will be controlled by the custom field manager. You will be able to add/edit/delete/make searchable the job fields with using the custom field managerJob Search Form is more capable than before
We suggest you to see the screenshot to understand what we mean. (Do not be afraid. Screenshot shows a part of new job search form. You will be able to add more fields or remove the existing search fields)An Inroduce to Zip Radius Search
Jobs! 1.4 will be able to do very very basic zip radius search. When you have installed the Jobs! 1.4, You will notice that City and State fields are replaced with location fields on home page search form and category pages search forms.
Jobs! will expect you to write the zip codes of the locations while you are creating the locations. When somebody writes zip code , Jobs! will match jobs for this zip codes
City and State Fields are merged in Locations field
Jobs! 1.3.x series were using City & State text fields to deal with the locations. Honestly, It was not a good way to do. Jobs! 1.4.x series will allow you to have locations in drop down list (See Jobs! Configuration>List Locations part from the admin panel) . You will need to create locations before you use itNew Buttons in Jobs! Admin Panel
Jobs! 1.4.x+ series will have some new button in admin panel . See the screenshotSalary Field is changed to a drop down form element
Jobs! 1.3.x series was using a text field for dealing with the salary in job forms. It's changed to a drop down list.Experience Field is changed to a drop down form element

It was missing feature. Jobs! is currently able to list your expired jobs in admin panelJobs by the locations and Jobs by the countries
If you have activated from component configuration, Jobs! can show 'Jobs By The Locations' (Like Jobs! By Istanbul or Jobs! By Berlin) on front side without using the job search pageInstaller is re-worked (for Joomla! 1.5)
